Aromatherapy

Is a form of alternative medicine that uses volatile liquid plant oils, known as essential oils and other scented compounds from plants, for the treatment and prevention of disease. It assists the body's natural ability to balance, regulate, heal and maintain itself. One influence of aromatherapy is on the brain - especially the limbic system - through the olfactory system, as we breathe in the fragrance. The other is the direct pharmacological effects of the essential oils. Essential oils consist of tiny aromatic molecules that are readily absorbed via the skin. These therapeutic constituents enter the bloodstream and are carried around the body where they can deliver their beneficial healing. Because they are highly concentrated, only a small quantity of essential oil is required to bring about results. The soothing combination of beautiful aromas, massage, aromatic baths and inhalations all work to regulate, balance, heal and maintain your entire being by working with nature.
