Your health in my hands - Naturally

My name is Natascha Van Zyl (Tasch). I am the Managing Director of TaschMar Holistic Health, which was founded  during 1993, in South Africa.

My passion is creating and restoring homeostasis (balance) within your body and mind – so you can live your life to its fullest potential!  In health, we are partners – creating the “body and mind” you deserve!

I have extensive experience within the field of Complementary Therapies and Alternative Medicine and have been privileged to work alongside the leading pioneers within the field -  Dr. Alfred Vogel and Dr. Jan de Vries (Bioforce International); Professor Jayney Goddard; Dr. Danny Pillay; Dr. Martin Vorster and Margaret Roberts.

I look forward to meeting you and working with you in partnership - in creating a happier and healthier YOU!

I am registered with The Complementary Medical Association, The Independent Professional Therapists International, The British Holistic Medical Association and the Institute for Learning.

MY TREATMENT ETHOS

My personal journey with ill-health, combined with my spiritual journey which took me across the continents - has been instrumental to the development of my unique blend of Eastern and African insights - which I apply therapeutically, with great effect to the Western Psyche.

My multidisciplinary approach to treatment, can unlock physical and mental issues where other methods may fail. Vital to the success of this healing process is TRUST – something I actively build upon in our sessions. This may take time to develop - but true healing cannot take place without it!

I create a safe environment that allows the release of emotions locked within your body - some may manifest as pain, or an illness or psychological distress. By allowing the release to take place – you actively restore balance to your body and indeed your mind. This… in itself is very empowering and cathartic!

When we hold onto negativity and emotional pain, our bodies can take only so much before "dis-ease" takes over. The effects become more serious and debilitating the longer we hold onto negative aspects. So the question here is simply this – how long will you wait before you take action? When life is too difficult and you are in constant pain? The answer is: ACT NOW!

REMEMBER "restoring the balance between body and mind" is the key to vibrant health and vitality. You are alive now - LIVE WELL!

SOME HISTORY

I am of Dutch-British decent and was born in Johannesburg, South Africa. My passion to practice Complementary and Alternative Medicine was driven by my personal experience with severe illness, and the loss of my family members and dear friends to diseases like cancer, diabetes, brain tumours and fatal heart attacks.

I was deeply moved by the suffering experienced by people who were unwell and by those in apparent good health! My experiences guided my exploration of the "Mind-Body link" and so I began my studies into a realm that was, and still is, not truly understood!

I met my first mentor, Swami Mataji Narayani (Spiritual Guru and Homeopath) at Sohum Sanctuary in South Africa, at the tender age of ten. It was there that my “schooling” truly began! During the years that followed, I received spiritual enlightenment from several Gurus and was trained both traditionally and non-traditionally in the Eastern and Western healing arts, namely:  Naturopathy; Therapeutic Massage;  Rolfing; Reflexology; Aromatherapy; Reiki; Chakra Attunement; Meditation; Self awareness and Spirituality; Life coaching and counselling.

I studied Social and Biological Sciences and completed my degree with Psychology Honors at the University of South Africa and Vista University. It was at Vista University that I was introduced to the Traditional African Healing Arts and actively engaged in mutually rewarding professional relationships, with my fellow colleagues and healers, namely the African Inyanga (Herbalist). I was given the honorary name “Palesa” (meaning flower) from my African contemporaries - a very great privilege and was further praised for being a true representative of the "Rainbow Nation".

I then undertook professional training for Therapeutic Massage, Reflexology, Aromatherapy, Counselling and Herbalism, at bespoke training institutions in both South Africa and the United Kingdom. Furthermore, I have also completed my Post Graduate Certificate in Education at Greenwich University in London.

I have worked in the Medical and Pharmaceutical sector for several years - within the NHS and the Private sector. In the fields of Holistics, Complementary Therapies, Alternative  Medicine and Integrated Healthcare, I work actively in Private Practice and in Educational contexts - presenting lectures, seminars and workshops.
